Press Release EUROPEAN DENTISTS ADOPT STATEMENTS ON COVID-19

The Council of European Dentists held their General Meeting online on 20 November. A significant part of the discussion focused on the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on dentistry in 2020. Consequently, the General Meeting adopted documents relevant to the profession in the context of the current public health crisis.

SAFETY OF DENTISTRY IN TIMES OF COVID-19

The CED expresses its concern regarding the potential hindering of oral and general health of all Europeans by the recent increase in COVID-19 cases and recommends the continuity of dental care services provision during the pandemic.

The CED is carrying out an annual survey to report to the European Commission on the undesirable effects caused by tooth whitening or bleaching products observed by dentists or reported by patients themselves.
